"My nephew, Brandon Rosenblum, Bill
Hughes and I had a fabulous day of Striper fishing with Captain Paul Scheffler
on his boat ‘Nothin Yet’. We
caught 20 keeper fish between 29 and 46”. We released 12 of them.
Bill caught the larger 46” fish besting his last years
record 44” and went home with bragging rights. He still has to learn to bring a
cooler, bigger than a
watermelon, to take home his catch! Brandon did a terrific job, for a first timer, bringing in 5 fish
the largest of which was 40+”. We even spotted deer and coyotes on the island we were fishing
adjacent to. All in all a
terrific day!"

"What a thrill! I was surprised that I could catch
such a beautiful fish. I expected to hand my pole to Capt. Paul but instead
he coached me while I reeled it in myself. Success plus an exciting boat
ride made for a perfect day."

"The weather forecast for yesterday was
…wet and more wet… plus windy. Didn’t sound appealing. On the drive down
to Woods Hole, on Cape Cod, at 3am, it poured cats
and dogs. We lucked out. We must have literally been in the
‘eye’ of the storm during the time we fished. A few light sprinkles, a wisp
of wind and overcast. Perfect fishing conditions! Captain Paul Scheffler, aboard the
fishing boat “Nothin Yet” , out of Brewster, MA treated Chris Milusich and
I to another memorable day of Striper fishing. We caught 19 fish between 26” and 42”. The
largest weighed 29lbs! Paul knows his stuff! The right bait for the right
conditions. There was another
boat, out there, right next to us not catching anything! All of us fishermen have had the experience
of being ‘that’ boat before. It’s painful to not catch anything while
the guys on the boat next
to you are hauling them in.
Nothing pained my late friend, Virgil, more, than to be on ‘that’
boat. Being on ‘that’ boat is
a thing of the past for me now.
I will only charter with Captain Paul Scheffler. I’ve fished with
him for three years now and his worst day is still four times better than
any of the other charter captains best days. He is wonderfully entertaining, has a great sense of
humor, and know his stuff about catching fish.
I first took Chris fishing when he was about 8
years old. He never stopped
talking and hardly paid attention to what we tried to teach him about
fishing. Now, at about 23, he
listens to what Paul says and out fishes me! It was a wonderful day."
